The holidays are in full swing. But, as we are rushing around crossing off Christmas lists, untangling endless strings of lights and cooking for potluck parties, we have to remember that the holidays should be a time to slow down and enjoy the company of others.

These scents are perfect to have wafting through your house all season and will surely spread that cozy winter spirit.

And, 'tis the season for giving, right? Why not bundle up some of these little ingredients and package them in a Mason jar for that perfect hostess gift (when you are tired of gifting wine).

So, amidst your holiday run-around, take a minute to stop and smell the roses — and warm cinnamon and fresh pine and creamy vanilla and cheery cranberry and...

If you're looking for something a little different, try this one. With just a few ingredients, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla, your home will smell like a gingerbread house in no time. Be sure to check out Holly's other recipes, like Vanilla Spice and Holiday Love.

Don't be afraid to get creative: Add a drop of peppermint here, a splash of vanilla there, or a peel of ginger over there. Try small pieces of firewood or even a few drops of essential oils like cedarwood, chamomile or rose. The sky's the limit... just watch out for that sleigh!
